At the last meeting of our Board of Directors, Peter Widdeson commented on the way that you had
helped him to develop our accounting system over the past couple of years. He told the Directors that it would not have been possible to have developed such a professional system without the expertise and energy that you displayed.
The Directors were unanimous in their desire to record their appreciation of your hard work over this period, and that has now been included in the formal minutes of the Board meeting.
For my own part, I do want to acknowledge not just the hard work but also the commitment as a member of the team here at DAB and the way in which you helped us all to adopt some more professional practices within our financial arrangements. Pat Taylor Chief Executive – Derbyshire Association for the Blind May 2002

Gillian has been solely responsible for the setting up of our accounts onto Sage 2013. In so doing
she has transformed the accounting system into a smooth, efficient, automated process, integrating completely into our ISO9001 scheme. Her timekeeping and attendance have been faultless, her manner happy and polite – she will be sorely missed. Jon Goodacre Director – Rhodes B,D & E, S Ltd August 2013
I was deeply sorry to have to let Gillian go, as since she started with the company she showed
herself to be a lady of exemplary character. She performed her duties with maximum efficiency, had an excellent attendance record and was very supportive and adaptable, taking on a variety of new and familiar duties as required by the business, one of which was the ISO9001 accreditation and its subsequent operation. Nick Parr Director – Daybrook Services Ltd August 2013
Personal Testimonials
Gillian has been a fantastic coach. Gillian explained the relevance of coaching and that the course
was not as a counsellor or to give direct advice as to what you should do in a situation but to give you tools to cope with a situation better and be able to see things from a different point of view.
The relevance of the coaching to myself is that is has given me the confidence to understand communication is not a problem for me but sometimes others ability to listen maybe is an issue. Also the ability to give back stuff emotionally that is not my fault or my own doing to others who try to put it on my shoulders and make me feel as if it is my responsibility to carry their burden is no longer an issue.
Gillian and I finished the ‘coaching’ course with a meditation, bringing it to a close which gave a spiritual and healing element to it. It was an empowering and a wonderful experience and I now feel more controlled as a person and in control of my life. Vicky Withey

The coaching process with Gillian Fitzpatrick was fantastic. It has, literally, changed my life! Gill was
super supportive and understanding, whilst also motivating and encouraging me to make changes in my life. It was a tremendous experience to feel like I had someone ‘cheerleading’ me on in my life and I would sincerely recommend it to anyone. I have even decided to buy some pot plants now! Isabel Dexter
Gill Fitzpatrick and I had four life-coaching encounters – a pre life coaching session, where we
discussed what would happen in the sessions, and where I gave Gill a brief idea of the areas of my life that I would like to change; and three life-coaching sessions.
In the pre-coaching session we established the goals I wanted to work on. Gill also made a note of my birth date, time and place, to prepare my horoscope. I received this before the first life-coaching session. We sometimes referred to this in the sessions, and I found it invaluable in helping me to understand the areas of my life which I needed to work on, and it helped me to make sense of decisions I had made in the past. It was also something I referred to in the following weeks.
The sessions were dynamic and wide-ranging; in the first session I felt that I had covered my whole life in one and a half hours. Whilst we began with my fears, which seemed to be holding me back; through our talk during the sessions, and with the help of the horoscope, it became clear that my life was characterised by a difficulty in reconciling my male and female sides; and my need for boundaries and for unbounded creativity. It was clear that this was a career-related issue, as well as a life-related issue, and helped to explain the difficulties I was experiencing at that time in completing my doctoral thesis.
At the end of the sessions I felt that together we had resolved a real core problem, as well as addressing my fears. In the past I have had various forms of counselling, and found that Gill’s life-coaching sessions were much better, being goal orientated and not dragging on for months. I liked identifying a problem and solving it, within a short period of time. Jo Sanderson Mann

As a coach I found Gill to be excellent at listening and facilitating my development as her coachee.
This was demonstrated by giving me the time and space to express myself, taking the session where I felt I wanted it to go as I worked through any ‘issues’ that I had. Gill asked extremely useful questions that allowed me to think for myself, whilst keeping track on the way that the conversation was going. Her style of questioning is articulate and relevant to what we were discussing. This showed to me that she is a highly able and reflective thinker, and has the ability to apply this thinking in coaching conversation. I felt that I had her full attention and dedication throughout and as a result of the sessions I feel that I made real progress in the areas that we focused upon. Jenny Dexter
